About lftn
Light For the Nations began in 1998. Brother Mike & Cindy Ricker had been working in India, South America and Mexico preaching and teaching the Word of God, and leading short term mission teams. Brother Mike was invited by pastors and leaders from various countries to preach the Gospel in open air meetings, so he and Cindy fasted and prayed about this great door for ministry that was opening. Out of their prayers and fasting, God birthed Light For the Nations. Since that time, they have shared the message of God's saving grace and love in Jesus Christ with tens of thousands across our world. This includes preaching the Gospel to over 500,000 people in a single service in India. Cindy has held Women's Conferences in many nations, and has ministered in venues large and small. The vision of LFTN is to partner with pastors, missionaries and churches throughout the world in reaching those who are in greatest need of experiencing God's grace, forgiveness, healing and love. As missionary/evangelists, they have a passion to see people, young and old, experience the life transforming power of God in Jesus Christ. Covid Relief
For the last year and a half we have worked daily with our friends in India and South/Southeast Asia trying to combat the affects of the pandemic on the poor and vulnerable. We have wept together, prayed together and agreed together for God's healing grace to be poured out upon their nations. As many of you know, India and many areas in Southeast Asia suffered greatly due to the impact of the second wave of Covid 19. The Covid Variant that swept through these countries left in its wake relentless heartache. Yet, it has been the faithful followers of Jesus Christ who not only reached out in love to care for their neighbors who were suffering, but many also showed non -believers how to die with courage and faith. Through July, we lost to death from Covid over 160 pastors in our ministry network. These faithful servants of Christ died with the full assurance that the risen Christ was with them and would welcome them into His eternal Presence. While we were not able to rescue everyone, because of the generosity of our beloved LFTN family and partners, we were able to rescue many. We have provided oxygen, ventilators, therapeutics, covered the cost of hospitalization, and provided thousands of pounds of food and relief items to villages across our world.
